ስለ Skewed ቪላ
ስክዩድ በሱራት፣ ህንድ የሚገኝ ራሱን የቻለ ቪላ ነው። ቤቱ 11,000 ካሬ ጫማ ስፋት ያለው ሲሆን እርስ በርስ የተያያዙ ተከታታይ ራዕዮች (ቪስታዎች) ስብስብ ሆኖ የተነደፈ ነው። የተለያዩ ክፍሎች ከቀጥተኛው መስመር ትንሽ ወደ ጎን በመዞራቸው በሶስት አቅጣጫዊ ቅርጹ ውስጥ የተለያዩ አመለካከቶችን ይፈጥራሉ። ቀላል ውበት፣ አነስተኛ የቁሳቁስ ምርጫ እና ከተፈጥሮ ጋር ያለው ቅርብ ትስስር ንድፉን ይመራሉ። ጥቁር ግራናይት ወለል፣ የኮንክሪት እና የፕላስተር ግድግዳዎች እንዲሁም የቲክ እንጨት መስኮቶች እና የውስጥ ጣውላ ስራዎች በሁሉም ቦታ ጥቅም ላይ ውለዋል። በመጀመሪያው ፎቅ ላይ የሚገኘው የአትክልት ስፍራ በድህረ-ውጥረት (ፖስት ቴንሽንድ) ንጣፍ የተደገፈ ሲሆን ከመላው ቤት ጋር ይገናኛል።

Skewed ቪላ የA' Design Award የነሐስ ሽልማት አሸናፊ ነው፤ ይህም በፈጠራ፣ በብልሃት እና በአስተዋይነት ለሚታወቁ ድንቅ ዲዛይኖች የሚሰጥ እጅግ ከፍተኛ ክብር ያለው እውቅና ነው። የነሐስ አሸናፊዎች የዲዛይነሮቻቸውን ሰፊ ልምድ፣ ምናብ እና ብልሃት የሚያረጋግጡ እጅግ ችሎታ የተሞላባቸው እና በሚያስደንቅ ሁኔታ ፈጠራ ያላቸው ሥራዎች ናቸው። Skewed ቪላ ከፍ ያለ ግምት የሚሰጠው፣ የሚደነቅና የሚወደድ፣ እጅግ ሙያዊና ፈጠራ የተሞላበት ነገር እንደሚሆን ይጠበቃል። ይህ የA' Design Award የነሐስ ሽልማትን ያሸነፈ ዲዛይን በኪነ ጥበብ፣ በሳይንስ፣ በዲዛይን እና በቴክኖሎጂ ምርጥ ልምዶችን ያካትታል፤ ለዝርዝርም በሚሰጠው ትኩረት ምርጥ ነው። Skewed ቪላ ፍላጎቶችን በግሩም ሁኔታ ያረካል፣ ምኞቶችን ይነካል፣ ስሜቶችን ይማርካል እንዲሁም የማወቅ ጉጉትን ይስባል።

- Simple aesthetics, a minimal material palette and connections to nature are the main drivers of the design of the Skewed House,the architect’s debut through his firm Studio Lagom. The standalone 11,000-square-foot villa seeks to create an oasis of serenity in Surat’s typical urban milieu through a programme that departs from typical planning of this typology.

- Taking the complete garden on the first floor which connects with entire house was the major challenge. But the research was carried accordingly and it was overcomed by proving a post tensioned slab.

- The architect’s deep interest in photography helped him visualize this project as a series of interconnected vistas, and was also responsible for the ‘skewedness’ of Skewed House. Manifested subtly as elements shifted slightly off the straight line, this was an exercise in creating vistas and perspectives, and adding more life to a three-dimensional object.
