ኑስ በክሬታ፣ ግሪክ የሚገኝ የመኖሪያ ቤት ነው። የU ቅርጽ ያለው ዋና መጠን ከመሬት በታች ካለ የእንግዳ ቤት ጋር ተጣምሯል። ሁለቱም መጠኖች የደቡብ ምስራቅ ተጋላጭነትን ከፍ በማድረግ በወቅቶች መካከል ከሚለዋወጠው የፀሐይ አንግል ጋር ይመላለሳሉ። ሁለት የፀሐይ ቦታዎች፣ አንደኛው ቋሚ ጥላ ያለው እና ሌላኛው የሚሽከረከሩ መጋረጃዎችና ግዙፍ ግድግዳ ያለው፣ ተፈጥሯዊ ማሞቂያና ማቀዝቀዣን ያስችላሉ። አረንጓዴ ጣሪያ፣ የውሃ ገጽታዎች፣ የአየር ማስተላለፊያ ቱቦ እና ቁጥጥር የሚደረግባቸው የጣሪያ ክፍተቶች የሙቀት ምቾትን ያሻሽላሉ። የፎቶቮልቲክ ፓነሎች፣ የፀሐይ ውሃ ማሞቂያዎች እና የጂኦተርማል ስርዓት የኃይል አጠቃቀም አሻራን ይቀንሳሉ።

Nus የመኖሪያ ቤት የA' Design Award የነሐስ ሽልማት አሸናፊ ነው፤ ይህም በፈጠራ፣ በብልሃት እና በአስተዋይነት ለሚታወቁ ድንቅ ዲዛይኖች የሚሰጥ እጅግ ከፍተኛ ክብር ያለው እውቅና ነው። የነሐስ አሸናፊዎች የዲዛይነሮቻቸውን ሰፊ ልምድ፣ ምናብ እና ብልሃት የሚያረጋግጡ እጅግ ችሎታ የተሞላባቸው እና በሚያስደንቅ ሁኔታ ፈጠራ ያላቸው ሥራዎች ናቸው። Nus የመኖሪያ ቤት ከፍ ያለ ግምት የሚሰጠው፣ የሚደነቅና የሚወደድ፣ እጅግ ሙያዊና ፈጠራ የተሞላበት ነገር እንደሚሆን ይጠበቃል። ይህ የA' Design Award የነሐስ ሽልማትን ያሸነፈ ዲዛይን በኪነ ጥበብ፣ በሳይንስ፣ በዲዛይን እና በቴክኖሎጂ ምርጥ ልምዶችን ያካትታል፤ ለዝርዝርም በሚሰጠው ትኩረት ምርጥ ነው። Nus የመኖሪያ ቤት ፍላጎቶችን በግሩም ሁኔታ ያረካል፣ ምኞቶችን ይነካል፣ ስሜቶችን ይማርካል እንዲሁም የማወቅ ጉጉትን ይስባል።

- The main criteria for the architectural decisions made, were the need for low energy footprint building designs, as well as the views towards pure Cretan nature. Τhe main U shaped residence along with the underground guest house volume, maximize the southeast exposure of the building, while they are taking advantage of the different angle of the sun rays during the seasonal cycles.

- For natural heating and cooling, we created two solar spaces, one with fixed shading, one with rotating blinds and a mass wall. Water surfaces on the south walls, the green roof, the hiding of the western light, the vertical ventilation shaft with small openings towards the North and the controlled shading roof openings, lead to thermal comfort conditions. Photovoltaic panels, solar water heaters and the vertical geothermal system, contribute to minimize the building’s ecological footprint.

- We believe in the integration of buildings into nature. Humble design tones present with more challenging architectural solutions, that take into account the sustainability and the ecological footprint of our built environment. Furthermore, the Cretan nature and landscape only needs a good frame to be appreciated or no frame at all. And this is what we did here. Minimum sq.meters, natural materials and welcoming volume decisions.
