About Xinhu Villa Residential House
Xinhu Villa is a residential interior design for a Spanish-style villa located near Hangzhou. The project covers 1700 square meters and serves as both a home and an art gallery. The layout divides the space in a rational way, combining curves and straight lines. A gray palette supports a natural aesthetic and highlights the interaction between architectural structure and light. Country house references are joined with modern detailing to create a calm and comfortable mood. The kitchen and dining room are sized for private gatherings.

- Production Technology
- The design team hopes that their design is not only reflected in high-end materials and exquisite workmanship, but also in the simplest form to express natural aesthetics and create a safe, quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
- Design Challenge
- The key to the design of minimalist Zen is how to combine minimalist design with Oriental Zen perfectly. In the essence of design, both of them pursue the realm of "less is more".
- Research
- The fully functional kitchen and dining room are enough for a private banquet between friends. The light changes as the sun rises and falls in this house, which endows beauty with drama, and where there is light, there is scenery.
- Inspiration
- The owner's initial appeal was to make this Spanish-style villa, which is more than 600 square meters away from the urban area of Hangzhou, and has no much difference from the surrounding buildings, into a corner of his ideal, memory and away from the noise, to put his heart in the spare time.
- Project Duration
- The project started in March 2019 in Hangzhou and finished in January 2020 in Hangzhou.
- Operation Flow
- Designers combine country houses and modern exquisite design to present a tranquility and stability in pursuit of natural balance, emphasizing a simple and comfortable feeling. The natural aesthetic return to nature in gray system emphasizes the interaction of architectural structure and light. The pursuit of quietness is different, but the ideal of both is to find a quiet spiritual residence for human beings.
