About Mirage de Parc Public Facilities
Mirage de Parc is an architectural photography series made on Yeongjongdo Island in Incheon, South Korea. The images focus on the area under the monorail station in front of the Paradise City Hotel. Natural light reflected on structures and buildings creates effects that resemble a mirage. Curved yellow lines run through the wide space and shape each composition. The photographs were taken with a 35mm camera and tilt-shift lenses over nine months, at dawn and at sunset across the seasons. The series reflects the transformation of the island.

- Working for a year, I traveled about 100 kilometers round trip. We investigated elements that could give us an atmosphere, such as dawn and dusk, and took pictures every season. In order to express sculptures like mirages, the color just rising and the time zone at sunset were the most appropriate.

- This work is my personal background and thoughts. However, I want audiences to feel the work as it looks instead of trying to understand perfectly. And, thought this, I want them to try to figure out the my ‘mirage’ but also their own ‘mirage’.
